News Release from the Webber Camden Neighborhood Board of Directors

[September 5th, 2018 News Release from the Webber Camden Neighborhood Board of Directors]

The Webber Camden Neighborhood Organization (WCNO) Board of Directors and office staff have recently undergone some changes and we’d like to keep the neighborhood informed.

  1. Roberta England and Bonnie Moore from our office are retiring at year end. We are grateful for their long tenure and thank them for their steady leadership and contributions over the course of two decades. Staffing needs will be reviewed as an agenda item in upcoming meetings.
  2. Be part of the future! We have multiple positions open on our Board of Directors. Kevin Aldwaik, as the former Vice-Chair, has assumed the position of Board Chair as of August 27, and a temporary treasurer has been placed. Our Annual Meeting will be held at 6:30 PM on Thursday November 8th, 2018 and will include elections to fill the Board vacancies.

Everyone who lives in the neighborhood is encouraged to attend, participate, and vote.

  1.  Applications for the WCNO Board of Directors are available at,
or by contacting the office. All neighborhood residents including women and minorities are encouraged to apply.
  2. Interested candidates for the November 8th election will be encouraged to introduce themselves at our next full meeting which is scheduled for 6:30 PM Thursday, October 4th.

The last date we can accept applications for the November 8th annual election ballot will be on October 18th at 12PM.

As a reminder, the WCNO programs including home security, home improvement loans, the emergency grant fund, and our partnership with the ongoing road construction projects remain active.  Community engagement and long-term visioning are additional current priorities. We seek new energy through participation from community members through attending meetings, serving on the Board and/or working on committees.

If you have questions or would like additional information please check out, email, or contact the neighborhood office at 612-521-2100 or 1206 37th Avenue North on Tuesdays-Thursdays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
