MINUTES

WCNO Board/Staff Attendees: Patricia Deinhart-Bauknight (Executive Director), Em Matson (Communications Director), Jane Riley Best, Krystin Eldridge (Vice Chair), Kevin Aldwaik (Treasurer), Sheree Breedlove (Chair), Michael (Community Member), Monica Colberg, Eric Hoffer (Secretary), Kenneth Frazier.

WCNO Community Member Attendees: Brock, Kip, Maureen, Lyn, Brittany, Jessica, Parker, Paul.

6:30 PM    Call to Order & Welcome: Sheree Breedlove, Chair

6:35 PM    Acceptance of November Minutes: Sheree Breedlove, Chair

For sake of time and nature of the meeting, Eric Hoffer moved to table accepting the November minutes until the next meeting. Seconded. Approved unanimously.

6:40 PM      Financial Report: Kevin Aldwaik, Treasurer

Kevin shared that WCNO is in solid financial position, with over $37,000 in the bank (for the moment, at least) and a net revenue of $5,369 as of the meeting. Costs (especially payroll) went up, but were all paid for by grants of various types.

Kevin moved to accept the report. Seconded. Approved unanimously.

6:50 PM      Election Overview & Applicant Intro’s: Eric Hoffer, Secretary & Em Matson, Staff

WCNO received applications from Eric Hoffer (for 2nd term), Jessica Aune, Paul Arllen, Daniel LaCroix, and Kip Vantrease–the exact number of spots available. Each candidate introduced themselves. The floor was opened for nominees, and no additional nominations occurred. The chair moved to accept the slate of candidates by acclamation (approving all at once) since the number of nominations equaled the number of available positions. Seconded. Approved unanimously.

7:20   2021 Accomplishments:  Patricia Deinhart-Bauknight

Patricia shared our varied accomplishments and updates over 2021. 

7:25   By-Law Approval: Eric Hoffer

Eric presented the by-laws, clarifying and explaining the minor updates and format changes, in accordance with city requirements, then moved to approve them. Seconded. Approved unanimously.

7:35   Community Q & A: Eric Hoffer, Facilitates

Community discussed challenges, highlights, needs, and hopes from 2021 and into 2022. Patricia took notes, which are available in video or written form.

8:10   Annual Meeting Adjourned: Sheree Breedlove

At a special meeting of the WCNO Board immediately following the annual meeting… Jane Riley Best was elected Treasurer and Eric Hoffer was elected Secretary. Chair and Vice Chair will need to be filled at or before WCNO’s January board meeting.
