6:53 PM Approved April 2022 Minutes.
Jane R-B moved. Monica C. seconded. Unanimously approved.
6:45 PM Finance Report shared by Robert, WCNO’s accountant.
Since the actual report was not prepared the day-of, no physical report was handed out.
Total assets: about $16k in combo of bank accounts and petty cash. City owes WCNO $26k (via reimbursements) and WCNO requested an advance of $10k, which should be provided without issue.
$25k in equity, when factoring in assets and liabilities.
Robert says WCNO is in a very solid cash position, but we need to consider diversifying our income streams.
7:00 PM Executive Director’s Report shared by Rochelle Washington (WCNO staff) as Patricia Deinhart-Bauknight (WCNO’s Executive Director) was ill.
Highlights include…
Patricia and staff with the League of Women Voters to put together both info sessions and a candidate forum for Hennepin County Attorney Candidates. Lots of info TBD, but the forum will be between August and November. WCNO is partnering with Shingle Creek and Victory Neighborhood associations.
Patricia is waiting on partnership requests from the county.
Patricia continues to meet with Jamil Ford (and others) about Baldwin Square. Solidifying tenants continues to be a challenge, though WCNO is in strong consideration.
Patricia continues to meet with businesses to see what they need, and assist/connect, as able.
Applications for WCNO’s Equity in Safety program are coming in, and the program is being promoted.
NOTE FROM DANIEL L.: In order to use a voucher program with North End Hardware, we have to have an account with them, with a method of payment or tab solidified. Kip also met with someone from the hardware store. Rochelle and Daniel will meet together with the hardware store.
Many events are coming up…
May 21 Community connection conference
June 11th Housing Fair
July 16th BBQ (tentative)

Maria will ask for the drumline to perform!
