Position: Executive Director
Description: Webber-Camden Neighborhood Organization (WCNO) is a beautiful, friendly, and welcoming neighborhood in north Minneapolis. It is a democratically operated, city recognized non-profit organization, which advocates for our residents and businesses. WCNO is seeking a dedicated and innovative executive director to lead the organization in partnership with the Board of Directors and neighborhood residents. A successful candidate will be able to work independently, have creative ideas for engaging the community, and be able to effectively manage the day-to-day operations of the business.
Reports To: Board of Directors through the Executive Committee and Board Chair
Hours: 25-30 hours per week
Rate: $21-$26 per hour, depending on experience
Duties Include:
- Communications
- Responsible for effectively marketing WCNO and creating a positive image in the community
- Draft an annual communications plan and get approval from the Board of Directors
- Work with the Communications Committee to implement the plan
- Committees and Events
- Organize & Support WCNO approved committees
- Help support WCNO events
- Develop systems for establishing committees, tracking progress, and communicating successes
- Community Engagement
- Oversee the hiring, training and management of outreach and engagement staff to meet the goals set by Board of Directors
- Board Support
- Attend Executive Committee meetings, compile and send board packets
- Attend Board meetings, work with Secretary to ensure proper notice of meetings, posting of minutes, and follow through
- Help the Board prepare for community meetings and board elections
- Systems/Day-to-Day Operations
- Create, implement and document systems to make day-to-day operations more efficient
- Manage day-to-day operations (email, voicemail, paying bills, filing, Google Suite, etc.)
- Other Duties As Assigned
